Vertical Heated Towel Rails Are Simple But Life Changing

When it comes to the new world of bathroom heating the latest trend is vertical heated towel rails or single bar heated towel rails. For me, these heated towel rails are the game changer for smaller bathrooms and are to me the perfect item for that little bit of luxury in a bathroom.

Below we will cover the below topics in relation to heated bar rails to help you better make your decision on whether to include them.

Difference Between Normal Heated Towel Rails and Vertical Single Bar Rails

So the big difference is really two things when it comes to the different heated towel rails.

Firstly and most obvious one is the size. A traditional heated towel rail is usually what you call a ladder or a tower. They often have at least 5 bars up to 15 and are used to take at least two towels at once draped over.

Vertical Heated Towel Rail

The vertical heated bars are a little different being singular you get two types of this setup is the branch vertical heated rail which is like a tree the other is the singular setup.

Both work in pretty much the same way with you draping your towel over the top end of the rail, which means that much of the towel touches the rail.

Secondly, the big difference is the availability. Horizontal heated towel rails have been around forever and come in every finish and size and scope. The vertical heated bars are only booming now so you are a little limited.

The cost factor because of the scarce nature of vertical bathroom heating is on the higher end in comparison to larger horizontal rails so it can make you scratch your head.

Cons Of Heated Bar Towel Rails

  • Often vertical bars are costly at this stage
  • Availability is not the biggest right now, especially in these times.
  • Limited shapes and sizes
  • One vertical bar is only good for one towel unless with branches or multiple setups
  • A lot more electrical work to wire up multiple vertical bars

Are vertical heated towel rails worth it?

When it comes to the question of are vertical heated towel rails worth it for your next bathroom renovation I am here to tell you they are. Perfect for a small bathroom or that owner who does not love the look of bulky horizontal towel rails.

Personally, I love vertical heated towel bars and have them in my ensuite renovation.

Even if your bathroom is huge and you have to pay that extra vertical heated bars going for me they are a trend that is great for drying your towels.

The reason vertical towel rails are great for drying towels is the way they contact more of the towel in comparison to the horizontal bars which one towel covers the next ruining the whole drying towel process.

Best Places To Purchase Vertical Heated Towel Rails

For me, the two most popular vertical towel rails to buy are from Highgrove Bathrooms, ABI Interiors, and Reece.

All are purchasable over Australia below are links to all three, a few images, and why I like them.

Highgrove Bathrooms – Branch Heated Towel Rail

What I Love – For me the best part of this vertical heated towel rail is the length. being 1710mm high this towel rail is amazing for a big family in a small bathroom.

Thermorail – Straight Round Vertical Single Heated Towel Rail

What I Love – Smooth like you wouldn’t believe I love the curvy nature that really goes with modern bathrooms and has a great heating level.

Final Thoughts

Vertical bar towel rails are going to be super popular over the next five years and the reason is based on a few factors but most people are limited by space in their bathrooms so they will add all the luxury they can with what space they can afford.

For me, the heated towel rails are worth the money to buy and the cost to install them as they give you some luxury without the eye sore some big heated towel rails provide.

So in conclusion, if you are looking for a bit of added wow factor and a great way to dry your towel then single-rail heated towels are for you.
