No Glass Shower Screen – The Glassless Bathroom

No glass shower screens are exactly how they sound. They are a tiled partition which is usually a bricked wall that looks like a shower screen without any of the glass. The shower walls are one brick wide often ranging from 800mm to 1000mm wide to 2100mm High.

You can do the bricked tiled shower screens to the ceiling but usually, we have a little bit of ventilation above them to allow for a little bit of steam to escape.

The biggest pro of tiled no glass shower screens is that they allow for a much easier to clean shower area as you have so much less grout.

Tiled Shower Screen

Some other reasons a tiled shower screen is a much better shower screen idea compared to glass is it actually feels so much more NATURAL in the space. The reason being is it flows instead of this big wall of glass out of nowhere you would get. When you look at the images they really provide a much more seamless feel in comparison to glass.

When talking about a con of the no glass shower screen is really why it is not that common which is that it’s a big wall. Often we try to make bathrooms feel bigger so the idea of a large wall in your face is not the most appealing.

Final Thoughts

Personally, I love the bricked shower walls. If I could do more of them I would but it is very hard to convince a client to do it. So if you looking for a bathroom with no glass, or a shower screen that is just a wall instead of glass I would highly recommend it. Walk-in bricked shower screens are here to stay.
