One thing I learnt very earlier on is most people find it hard to visualise the after of how there bathroom will turn out. There is nothing wrong with that very few people have that complete no doubt of how something will look so the idea behind doing before and afters for me was to show people what there dated space could turn into. Helping with that bathroom renovation has always been my life’s work and I hope I can help in any small way. Below is what I call the classic family bathroom renovation layout in Perth.
Nedlands Bathroom Renovation
This bathroom got so hot before we changed the window. I remember doing the quote first thing in the morning and it was like being under a magnifying glass. Changing windows in these renovations are never cheap but sometimes can make the difference.
Canning Vale Bathroom Renovation
For this family bathroom the owner wanted to get rid of the nib wall as she felt like it closed in the bathroom space.

*Note – This bathroom does not use the nib wall like the other bathrooms in this series. This is an example of the owner choosing the gap instead if you want the pros and cons of the gap v nib wall click here. The other star of the bathroom is the undermounted stone top which gives a classy feel to the room.

Bathroom Renovations Success
This success bathroom renovation is probably the idea before and after of a bathroom renovation that made the space more practical and functional
*Note – Hobless showers like this allow for a cleaner look on the floors. The key to hobless showers is to have the tiling spot on so the water does not run out. A key note is to remember semi frameless screens are the best for hobless showers.

Bayswater Bathroom Renovation
In the history of bathroom creations there has probably never been a need to box in a bathroom like this below. In this bathroom renovation we got rid of the tall wall and replaced it with glass to make the bathroom feel so much bigger in this bayswater space.

*Note – This bathroom is an example of how walls close in a space. Just by removing the wall and replacing with see-through glass it creates a big feel to the room. This is an example that it does not matter how dark your floor is the light wall tile will make the difference.

Leeming Bathroom Renovation
The unique thing about this Leeming bathroom renovation is the owner wanted the nib wall on this inside.

*Note – The client used two different floor tiles for this bathroom. One was a 300mm x 300mm which was in the shower and the other was a 300mm x 600mm on the outside. They did this to maximise the drainage in the shower. The other star of this bathroom is the frameless shower screen which ha a nib wall internally.
Kiara Bathroom Renovation
Floor tiles that are patterned are an awesome way to hide dirt or that pesky dog hair.
Safety Bathroom Bathroom Renovation

*Note
The floor tile for this bathroom which is called Ferrari 300mm x 600mm is one of the most beautiful tiles in person. The wall hung vanity still works with a nib wall and a hob but the feeling of space does get lost.

If keeping your budget down is your plan these examples are the best at that. They keep the plumbing where it is and just makes the room better. Generally, the most expensive aspect will be the custom-made screen but one way to avoid that is do a pre-made screen. What you should keep in mind though as some pre-made screens are generic and the tiling needs to be spot on to accommodate these products. If you are unsure about baths read our article here that covers the pros and cons of having a bathtub. Happy renovating and always remember enjoy the process of creating something new and beautiful as its really rewarding for all the hard work you put in.
