Yes, you will lose storage below but you can always gain more storage by installing wall hanging cupboards, adding wall shelving that is open near a window or lastly you can adding a drying bar rack which is more practical than half the items you will install into a cupboard.

What I Love About This Laundry Renovation – More and more common now is the use of white cupboards combined with a wood finish. The wood shelving and white laundry combo is a beautiful and subtle way of adding warmth but not overdoing the look of the space. Gone are the days of these big laundry trough-style sinks that take up so much space.

The wood shelving works so well in this small laundry with the matt white framed base cupboards and the 40mm white stone benchtop. If you have the space the washer next to the dryer is the best way to get more benchtop space. You will always need a tall cupboard though or you will be throwing that iron or vacuum into the corner near the door and no one wants that.

What I Love About This Laundry Renovation – Is the use of VJ Panels. I love using VJ Panels in renovations when it adds to the feel of the space. The best part of this laundry renovation is that we combine those timber panels with the finish on the panels of the cabinets. The warm tone is a nice break from the many cold grey laundry renovations we do in 2023 and one of my personal favs.

The timber benchtop has a real natural feel to it and combines well with the panels as it breaks up the white finish of the space and really adds to the impact of the matt black tapware over the drop-in sink. One of the benefits of long panels as a splashback gives a nice feeling of height when you look at it. Those lines draw your eyes up towards the ceiling making VJ panels great for a splashback in your next small Perth laundry renovation.

One technique when it comes to splashback is the use of Marble look engineered stone and running it up the splashback as a simple but effective finish.
